The drive from Denver, CO to Moab, UT is about six to seven hours and some of the most beautiful in the country. See Silverthorne, Eisenhower Tunnel, and Vail Pass and then follow the Colorado River right into Moab on Hwy 128, an amazing National Scenic Byway.
You will need to provide for your own ground transportation in Moab or team up with other Photographers. A high-clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle is required to access locations. We have negotiated local business pricing with Jeep rental companies in Moab.
We will be on the roads less traveled, old mining roads, also known as Jeep routes or 4 wheel drive trails.
Past participants have driven out in their own, or rented 4WD vehicles (ie; Jeep, Toyota) and carpooled with other participants, sharing not only the expenses, but also the great experience of The Desert Adventure, by doing some backcountry off-roading as a team.
With your permission, upon receipt of your deposit, we will share your contact information with other participants of the same session. Things have a way of working out, and opportunities often arise to share travel in Moab, sometimes even pre- and post-trip travel.
